FAQ

7:45 am - 2:45 pm

Students not IN CLASS at 7:45 AM will be marked Tardy. Just a reminder: check outs are coded as tardies.

Students should not arrive at school before 7:10 a.m. as supervision is not available before that time. Students who do not ride buses MUST be picked up from the school by 3:00 p.m. Teachers are not on duty after this time and the office staff cannot be held responsible for supervision children.

BEFORE MEET THE TEACHER IN AUGUST: Fill out the Bus Google Form AND you must let your student's teacher know they will be a bus rider for dismissal. Stop by our Bus Registration table at Meet the Teacher for your Bus slip containing information about your student's bus assignment. If you complete the Google Form the day before Meet the Teacher, you get to skip the line and get your pre-filled out bus slip!

AFTER SCHOOL STARTS IN AUGUST: Fill out the Bus Google Form, contact the front office to find out how to begin bus transportation, and let your student's teacher know their dismissal in the afternoon will be BUS. If you only fill out the Google Form, we will not know to include your child on our bus routes unless you contact us.

Send in written and signed notice with your child. If it is a change during the day, you must call and follow office directions prior to 12:00 pm.

Morning Drop Off (AM): Click here for our Mathis Morning Carline VIDEO!

NO TAG IS NEEDED FOR DROP OFF. You can enter the car line at Mathis as early as you'd like, but it does not "open" for cars to start making their way to the drop off sidewalk until 7:10, which is the earliest students can be dropped off, even by bus. You can disregard the ZONES 1-3 in the morning. Those are only for PM (afternoon) pickup. You should pull forward as far as possible until traffic stops moving. Students exit cars on the carline sidewalk and enter the building by the gym/playground.

Afternoon Pickup (PM): Click here for our Mathis Afternoon Carline VIDEO!

YOU MUST HAVE A CARLINE TAG TO PICKUP. You can get this annually at Meet the Teacher (in the gym). After Meet the Teacher, you can go into the front office to get a carline tag. Please keep tags from prior years, as these do still work. These tags are picked up by the "reader" in carline. You can enter the car line at Mathis as early as you'd like, but it does not "open" for cars to start making their way to the drop off sidewalk until between 2:10 and 2:15 PM. Students begin carline dismissal at 2:47 PM.
